How Are Diamonds Valued
Summary: Diamonds are very precious. When we buy them, we might not know how to value them. We’ll explain to you just how diamonds are valued.
How are diamonds valued? The value of diamonds is measured by four characteristics called the 4 C’s: Carat weight, Color, Clarity and Cut.

Diamond carat: The unit of the diamond weight is a carat. 1ct =0.2 gram. For example, a diamond is 60 carat, equivalent to 12g. Carat weight is a very important factor in determining the value of a diamond.
Diamond color: Each diamond color has a different price. A white diamond is more rare and valuable.
Diamond clarity: A diamond should shine bright. Diamond clarity refers to the amount of the inclusions. And these inclusions provide each individual diamond with unique characteristics. Purer diamonds are more expensive.
Diamond cut: A well-cut diamond will have high quality brilliance and reflect light better. The diamond’s cut can also enhance the fire of the diamond. So it is cut that determines the quality of the stone.
When you buy a diamond, you can determine the value of the diamond from above 4 C’s. Hope it can help you.
