Friendship Jewelry DIY - Make a Necklace with Nylon Thread and Colorful Beads

I often feel that friendship jewelry can remind us of some thought that always occurs at unpredicted occasion, and that is subtle, transient and easily lost. I prefer friendship jewelry as parting gift. This time, I would like to share with you a tutorial about making a friendship necklace. 

Materials and tools:

1mm black nylon thread

Tibetan Style Pendants

Yellow wood beads

6mm colorful acrylic beads

12mm colorful acrylic beads

Jump ring

Head pins

Scissors

Flat nose plier

Round nose plier

Wire cutter

Instructions:

Step 1: Braid spiral necklace

1st, cut two pieces of black thread, one measures 1m and the other 3m;

2nd, fold up the short thread (base thread), leave a 2cm loop atop and put long thread (working thread) under it;

3rd, start to braid spiral hitch knots;

4th, after braiding 6.5cm, add a yellow acrylic bead;

5th, continue braiding 1.5cm, and add a yellow wood bead;

6th, when finishing another 6cm braiding, slide a jump ring onto left 2 strands;

7th, do the symmetric braiding and beading;

8th, tie double overhand knots at the end;

9th, trim off excess threads.

Step 2: Attach pendant to necklace

1st, prepare 5 different colored bead dangles;

2nd, attach them to the loops of filigree pendant;

3rd, attach the pendant to the jump ring in step 1.
