Alpine butterfly loop knot instructions:
Step 1: Make a loop by crossing left portion of the strand over the right.
Step 2: Tie a loose overhand knot. Now the working end is on your right.
Step 3: Turn the overhand knot to make the crossed area on the left. Take the working end through the overhand knot.
Step 4: Clockwise direct the working end and pass it under the top loop.
Step 5: Pass the working end through the first loop you made.
Step 6: Pull the top loop to tighten the first loop.
Step 7: Adjust the size of the top loop and tighten the other two loops completely.
Step 8: Pull the working end to tighten the left loop.
