How to Make Elephant Hair Clip

Almost all kids love animals, especially those they cannot reach easily, such as elephant. They only can see them in books or on TV. How about you make an elephant hair clip for her with a few ribbons and some beads that can be bought with ease?

Materials and tools:

6mm Opaque Acrylic Beads

3mm Transparent Acrylic Rhinestone Cabochon

2.5cm Polyester ribbon grosgrain

0.6cm satin ribbon

0.7cm resin button

Sewing threads

Needle

Beak clip

Scissors

Hot melt gun

How to make an elephant hair clip?

Step 1: fold a shape of elephant

1st, cut a strip of grosgrain ribbon measuring about 18cm, make a loop and glue both ends to the middle as ears;

2nd, cut the other ribbon with same length, wrap the middle of previous one with a loop as nose, secure with glue. It will look like the third picture below;

3rd, turn the ribbon to the side without ends, clamp the upper side of long nose and glue.

Step 2: add cute embellishments on

4th, glue two Opaque Acrylic Beads with rhinestones on ribbon as eyes;

5th, make a small bow with a short strip of satin ribbon, glue for securing;

6th, glue the bow with a button in the middle over eyes inclined left;

7th, stick hair clip to the backside of the elephant.

The final look is like this:
