How to Clean Crystals

Crystal is usually used as adornment, besides that some people also wear crystal to improve fortune, even cure. So cleaning crystal is not only simply cleaning but also clear the negative effect inside. It’s very important to know how to clean crystals since if crystals suffer from pollution, the effect and gloss will be destroyed. It will be great if you find the best way that suitable to you.

1.Sunshine: Just put your crystal on the places that expose in direct sunlight, such as a windowsill or a balcony, for half or an hour.

Tips: Don’t place papers or other inflammables around when using this method, because crystal will focus light and heat under sun which may cause fire. And the crystals that contain copper and iron element cannot be cleaned with this way because of oxidization.

2.Moonlight or starlight: it is high time for basking crystals when full moon or before and after full moon. Let your crystal absorb the essence of moonlight for one night. Starlight is also effective.

3.Sea salt: Putting crystal in a cup of water with a moderate amount of sea salt or coarse salt for three to four hours is OK. The other way is bury crystal directly in a pile of sea salt or coarse salt a few hours.

Tips: Detach crystal with metal items if the crystal is inlaid when clean with sea salt.

4.Snow drift: All you need to do is to bury the crystal into snow drift for several hours.

Tips: this method may not be used if your crystal is too large. It may happen blowout due to temperature difference between inside and outside according to the theme of thermal expansion.

5.Cool water: Run your crystal under the faucet for twenty minutes can balance the negative energy.

6.Smudge: Using sage, wheatgrass, frankincense or cedar to smudge the crystal. Then put the crystal aside for several hours.
