Vintage Handmade Jewelry- Handmade Tulip Necklace with Multi-colored Copper Wire
Summary: Learn to do vintage inspired handmade jewelry again! Make this fancy handmade tulip necklace by adorning it with gold, black and green wire.
What is vintage handmade jewelry? For me, vintage doesn’t only mean antique atmosphere and well-worn colors, but represent the dignity and elegance of an item after decades, especially with its unique metal smell. I think my unique tulip necklace handmade with copper wire can also replicate the same effect.
Materials and tools:
1.5mm gold alum wire
0.3mm light brown copper wire
0.3mm black copper wire
0.3mm green copper wire
Jump ring
Round nose plier
Flat nose plier
Wire cutter
Instructions:
Step 1: wire wrap tulip pendant
1st, snip a piece of gold aluminum wire about 30cm;
2nd, coil one end into small lollipop pattern that is the core part;
3rd, shape out flower and then wrap the working end behind flower;
4th, make stem and leaves.
Step 2: coil wires around tulip pendant with multiple colors
1st, skip the first coiled part, and coil gold copper wire around the flower as shown in picture;
2nd, from where the gold wire ends, coil stem with black copper wire;
3rd, then coil green copper wire for the leaves.
Step 3: finish tulip necklace
Attach pendant to silvery chain by jump ring.
The finalized product will look like this:
