How to Make the Beaded Spiral Pearl Necklace:

Materials list:

--(2) Size 11 seed beads

--Size 6 seed beads

--6mm pearl glass beads

--A clasp

--Two bead tips

--A beading needle and beading thread

--Glue

--Thread conditioner

--Scissors

--Round-nose pliers

--A ruler

Instructions:

1.  Measure and cut 3 yards (that’s 108 inches) of thread.  Run your thread through the conditioner.  Thread your needle.  String on a size 11 seed bead and bring it to about 6” away from the end of the thread. Tie a few knots around the bead to keep it in place.   Slide on a bead tip and bring it close to the bead that has been tied.

2.  Now that you have your end prepared, it's time to start beading .  String on three size 6 seed beads and a 6mm pearl glass bead.  Slide down the beads to meet up with the bead tip on the other end.  Take your needle and slide it UP through the three size 6 seed beads.  Pull the thread all the way through.  Repeat the following until you reach your desired length: {String on two size 6 seed beads and a pearl glass bead.  Slide them down to meet up with the other beads.  Slide your needle UP through the top three size 6 seed beads.  Pull the thread all the way through.}  I finished beading when I reached about 16-1/2”.  My clasp will add on about 1”, thus making my finished necklace length 17-12”.

3. String on a bead tip and a size 11 seed bead. Take needle off and begin to tie a knot around the size 11 seed bead. Take the needle and insert it into the open knot. Pull the knot down to the bead tip using the needle. Get the bead as close to the bead tip as possible before removing the needle. Tie a couple more knots around the bead tip for added security. To make sure the knots won't come out, it's best to seal them with glue.  Just dab a little glue onto each of the ends. After the glue has dried thoroughly, cut the excess string close to the bead tips. Clamp the bead tips with your pliers. Then attach your clasp to the bead tips using round-nose pliers.

How to Make the Beaded Spiral Pearl Bracelet:

Materials list:

--Size 6 seed beads

--6mm pearl glass beads

--A clasp

--Two bead tips

--A beading needle and beading thread

--Glue

--Thread conditioner

2.  Now that you have your end prepared, it's time to start beading.  String on four size 6 seed beads, two size 11 seed beads, a 6mm pearl glass bead, and two size 11 seed beads.  Slide down the beads to meet up with the bead tip on the other end.  Take your needle and slide it UP through the four size 6 seed beads.  Pull the thread all the way through.  Repeat the following until you reach your desired length: {String on one size 6 seed beads, two size 11 seed beads, a pearl glass bead, and two size 11 seed beads.  Slide them down to meet up with the other beads.  Slide your needle UP through the top four size 6 seed beads.  Pull the thread all the way through.}  I finished beading when I reached about 6-1/2”.  My clasp will add on about 1”, thus making my finished bracelet length 7-12”.

How to Make the Beaded Spiral Pearl Earrings:

Materials list:

--Size 11 seed beads

--6mm pearl glass beads

--A pair of ear wires

--Two bead tips

--Two jump rings

--A beading needle and beading thread

--Glue

--Scissors

--Two pairs of pliers

--A ruler

Instructions:

1.  Measure and cut an 18" length of string. String on a size 11 seed bead and bring it to about 1” away from the end of the thread. Tie a few knots around the bead to keep it in place. Thread your needle on the other end of the string. Slide on a bead tip and bring it close to the bead on the other end.

2.  Now that you have your end prepared, it's time to start beading.  String on six size 11 seed beads and a pearl glass bead.  Slide the beads down to meet up with the bead tip.  Slide the needle UP through the six seed beads.  Pull the thread all the way through.  Repeat the following until you reach your desired length: {String on five size 11 seed beads and a pearl glass bead.  Slide the beads down to meet up with the other beads.  Slide the needle UP through the top six seed beads.  Pull the thread all the way through.}  I finished beading when I strung on five pearl beads because I thought it looked like a good length for a pair of earrings. To finish off the thread, go back through some beads and tie a few knots.

3. Repeat steps 1-2 for the other earrings.  Dab a little glue to each of the bead tips and knots; let dry.  Trim the excess string close to the knots and bead tips.  Close the bead tips with pliers.  Attach the ear wires to the bead tips using jump rings.
