How to Make Waxed Polyester Cord Kumihimo Bracelet and Braided Nylon Thread Bracelet

See the picture above, you can see today I will bring 2 braided bracelets to you. One is a braided thread bracelet and the other one is a kumihimo bracelet with waxed polyester cord. Do you know how to make them? Follow me to see together now!

Supplies you need prepare before making the kumihimo bracelet:

1MM Pink Nylon Thread
1MM White Nylon Thread
1MM Blue Waxed Polyester Cord
1MM Orange Waxed Polyester Cord
Silver Alloy Cord Ends
Jump Rings
Four Leaf Clover Pendant
Tibetan Style Hanger Links
Lobster Claw Clasp
Chain Nose Pliers
Glue Gun
Steel Scissors
Kumihimo Disk
Black Clamp

Instruction on how to make kumihimo bracelet

Step 1: Make a basic pattern with waxed polyester cord

1st, cut 4 pieces of orange waxed polyester cord and 4 pieces of blue waxed polyester cord, and then make a knot with them;
2nd, put the cords on middle of the kumihimo disk, then put 2 blue cords on upper and down side and put 2 orange cord on left and right side as pictured.

Step 2: Braid the waxed polyester cords

1st, put the left blue cord on upper side to right side on the kumihimo disk between the orange cords;
2nd, put the right cord on down side to left side on the kumihimo disk between the orange cords;
3rd, put the upper orange cord on right side to down side beside the down side blue cord;
4th, put the lower orange cord on left side to upper side beside the upper side blue cord.

Step 3: Make the rest part of the kumihimo bracelet

1st, put the orange cord on 25 to 26 and put the orange cord od 8 to 9;
2nd, put the blue cord on 1 to 25 and put the blue cord on 17 to 8;
3rd, put the orange cord on 9 to 1 and put the orange cord on 26 to 17;
4th, repeat above steps to braid the kumihimo bracelet until the length of it is enough to you.

Step 4: Finish the kumihimo bracelet

1st, cut off the excess cord on 2 ends of the bracelet and add a Tibetan style hanger link and four leaf clover pendant to middle of it with a jump ring;
2nd, add a cord end to both ends of the kumihimo bracelet and then connect the bracelet with a lobster slaw clasp and jump rings.

Step 5: Braid a white and pink nylon threads bracelet

1st, cut 4 pieces of white nylon thread and 2 pieces of pink nylon thread;
2nd, make a knot with the threads and fix them with a clamp, then separate the 6 cords into 3 parts and braid them to plait as pictured;
3rd, while plait is enough to you, cut off the excess threads and add a cord end to both side of the braided thread bracelet and connect it with a lobster claw clasp and jump ring.
