How to Make a Gold Leaf Decorated Hair Comb for Autumn Days

Golden leaves are one of the most typical scenes of autumn, so we made this pretty gold leaf decorated hair comb for autumn days. Just with some filigree leaves and black glass beads, you can make a comb like this as well!

Jewelry making supplies needed to make this beaded hair comb:

4mm Gold Hematite Beads
8mm Black Electroplate Glass Beads
Filigree Gold Leaves
0.3mm Copper Wire
Black Hair Comb
Scissors

How to make this gold leaf decorated hair comb:

Step 1: Combine the leaves and black glass bead to make a flower pattern

1st, cut a piece of 0.3mm copper wire and thread a 8mm black electroplate glass beads to the middle of it, then twist the wire several times;
2nd, thread both wires through a filigree gold leaf, then separate the wires and slide a leaf to each wire.

Step 2: Add the beads and leaves to the comb

1st, wrap the previous flower pattern to the left part of the hair comb;
2nd, thread one black glass bead and one leaf to the left copper wire as picture show;
3rd, slide five gold hematite beads to the right copper wire, wrap the wire between those two black glass beads to separate them;
4th, add one more leaf to make a five petal flower as picture shows;
5th, add another gold leaf and a black glass bead to finish the flower, wrap the wires back to the comb and fix them.

Step 3: Make two more gold leaf flowers

1st, combine three gold leaves and one black glass bead together and add them to the right part of the comb;
2nd, repeat step 2 to finish the leaf flower at the right of the comb;
3rd, thread three gold leaves and one black glass bead onto a copper wire and wrap them to the middle of the comb, then slide nine gold hematite beads to a wire and wrap them around the black glass bead;
4th, fix the flowers on the comb and cut off extra wires.

Not so difficult to make, right? There’s no professional wire wrapping skills in this tutorial, you can freely wrap the wires in any way you like. All you need to do is link the materials together and tighten them.
