Instructions on How to Make Colorful Wire Wrapped Fish Decorations for Kids

Materials needed for the wire wrapped fish decoration:

8mm round green acrylic beads
2x1mm blue, deep pink, green, yellow and purple acrylic rhinestone cabochons
0.3mm copper wire
2mm blue, purple, green, golden and brown aluminum wire
side cutting pliers
round nose pliers
scissors
glue gun

Step 1: Make the wire wrapped fish’s head

1st, trim off a proper length of brown aluminum wire and twist it as the shape like below;
2nd, cut off a piece of copper wire and wrap it around the aluminum wire several times to fix it.

Step 2: Make the fish’s body

1st, trim off a proper length of brown aluminum wire and then twist it as the shape as below being the fish’s body;
2nd, trim off a piece of copper wire and wrap it around the junction several times to fix it.

Step 3: Decorate the wire wrapped fish

1st, trim off a piece of brown and blue aluminum wire and curl them up;
2nd, wrap the brown and blue aluminum wire on the fish’s body and fix them with copper wire;
3rd, trim off a piece of yellow and green aluminum wire and curl them up;
4th, wrap the yellow and green aluminum wire on the fish’s body and fix them with copper wire;
5th, cut off a piece of green, yellow and purple aluminum wire and curl them up, then add them on the fish’s body;
6th, continue to trim off a piece of brown and blue aluminum wire and curl them up, then add them on the fish’s body and fix with copper wire.

Step 4: Finish the wire wrapped fish

1st, add a green pearl bead on the fish’s eye place and fix with a piece of copper wire;
2nd, trim off a proper length of copper wire and wrap it around the fish’s body several times like the showing picture below;
3rd, add the deep pink, green, yellow and purple acrylic rhinestone beads on the copper wire with glue gun.
