Quilling idea for Kids – How to Make a Colorful 3D Quilling Paper Cake

Instructions on making the colorful 3D quilling paper cake craft for kids:

Step 1: Make the bottom of the 3D cake

1st, cut 19 pieces of pink quilling paper (about 15cm), then roll them into 15mm round beads one by one;
2nd, place the beads and stick them to form a pentagon as shown in the picture.

Step 2: Make the 2nd and 3rd layer of the cake

1st, cut 8 pieces of yellow quilling paper, then roll them into beads one by one;
2nd, place another smaller pentagon and stick them above the bottom;
3rd, cut 7 pieces of purple quilling paper, and roll each of them into 10cm beads one by one;
4th, shape them and stick them to the 2nd layer as shown;
5th, cut 7 pieces of orange quilling paper, then roll them into 8mm beads one by one, and stick them properly on the 2nd layer.

Step 3: Add the 4th and 5th layer

1st, cut 7 pieces of white quilling paper, then roll them into 8mm beads one by one;
2nd, place them and form a flower shape, then stick it as the 4th layer;
3rd, cut 6 pieces of pink quilling paper, and then place them on the 3rd layer as pictured;

1st, cut a piece of 7mm pink satin ribbon, wrap it around the 4th layer, and finally tie a bow;
2nd, cut off the excessive ribbons and finish the 3D quilling paper cake.
