How to Make a Charming Beaded Necklace with Rhinestone Heart Drops for Valentine's Day

Today I made a charming beaded necklace with heart drop for valentine's day. If you are familiar with the beading skills and patterns that I adopted before, then it would be a piece of cake for you to make it! Now let's begin this DIY project.

Supplies in making the beaded necklace for Valentine's day:

2mm Silver Glass Seed Beads
8mm Transparent Faceted Glass Beads
4mm Transparent Faceted Glass Beads
Heart Shaped Rhinestone Beads
0.3mm Tiger Wire
0.5mm Copper Wire
Iron Jump Rings
Brass Magnetic Clasp
Scissors
Long Nose Plier

How to make the beaded necklace with rhinestone heart drop?

Step 1: Bead the starting cord

Snip off 2 pieces of 0.3mm tiger wire (about 60cm), thread 8 silver seed beads through both wires to the middle and then cross both ends through a silver seed bead and tighten.
Making sure the tips are even so that it's easy to string the bead.

Step 2: Make the main necklace pattern

Thread 12 seed beads through both wires on the right, while thread 12 seed beads on just one wire on the left side (leave one wire alone);
With the 2 wires together, it may be a little difficult to thread the seed beads, just be patient!
Cross the wires through another seed bead and tighten; (Leave one wire completely alone)
Thread 4 seed beads to one wire on one side and 4 seed beads to 2 wires on the other side respectively;
Cross both wires through a 4mm transparent faceted glass bead and tighten;
Leave a wire aside, thread 2 8mm glass beads through each of the rest 2 wires respectively;
Cross both wires through a 4mm glass bead and tighten;
Thread a 4mm glass bead, a 8mm glass bead and a 4mm glass bead to the wire that you left alone just now;
And then thread that wire through the 4mm glass bead in the bottom;
String the wire that you left along just now through 30 seed beads;
And then thread the wire through the 8mm glass bead and the 4mm glass bead on one side respectively and tighten;
You've finished the basic pattern of the necklace so far.

Step 3: Repeat the pattern again

Thread 4 seed beads through 2 wires on the right and 4 seed beads through one wire on the left side; (leave one wire along)
Cross the wires through another silver seed bead and tighten;
Thread 12 seed beads through 2 wires on the left and 12 seed beads through one wire on the right;
Cross the wires through a silver seed bead and tighten;
Thread 4 seed beads through 2 wires and another 4 seed beads through one wire;
Cross the wires through a 4mm glass bead and tighten;
Leave a wire aside, thread 2 8mm glass beads through each of the rest 2 wires respectively and ross both wires through a 4mm glass bead and tighten;
Thread a 4mm glass bead, an 8mm glass bead and a 4mm glass bead to the wire that you leave alone just now;
And then thread that wire through the 4mm glass bead on the bottom;
String the wire that you left along just now through 30 seed beads;
And then thread the wire through the 8mm glass bead and the 4mm glass bead on one side respectively and tighten;
Repeat this pattern …

Step 4: Finish the main necklace strand

Thread 2 wires through 4 seed beads and another 2 wires through 4 seed beads as well;
Cross the wires through another seed bead and tighten;
Thread the wires through along the beads and finally trim off them.

Step 5: Add rhinestone heart drop ornaments

Snip off 9 pieces of 0.5mm copper wire (each about 6cm), twist them on by one;
Thread a rhinestone heart bead to each pin and hook them to the necklace respectively.
Attach a jump ring to the cord end and connect them with a magnetic clasp.
