Pandahall's Free Tutorial on Making a Pair of Vintage Beaded Drop Earrings

There are many pearl and rhinestone drop earrings designs on this site, but today I still made a pair of vintage beaded drop earrings with glass beads, pearl beads, gold bead spacers and rhinestone beads for beginner to learn. In making this pair of beaded drop earrings, you do not need any beading skills, making it a good DIY project to try.

Supplies in making the vintage beaded drop earrings:

6mm White Pearl Beads
6mm Transparent Faceted Glass Beads

Instructions on making the vintage beaded drop earrings:

Step 1: Stick beads to the lace base

1st, cut a piece of oval lace cloth and a piece of yellow felt paper, then place the lace on the center;
2nd, thread a piece of cotton thread through a needle, then fix the glass squre bead in the center place of the lace cloth, and stitch 4 6mm white pearl beads on the corners respectively;
3rd, add a rice shaped purple pearl and 2 6mm transparent glass beads on both sides as shown in the picture.

Step 2: Add glass beads and gold spacer ornaments

1st, thread the needle through gold bead spacers, a 4mm transparent glass bead and a gold bead spacer;
2nd, stitch the beads along the base as shown, and add other beads ornaments symmetrically;
3rd, thread the needle through a 6mm brown glass bead and make a stitch, then thread through a 6mm brown glass bead again and make another stitch. Do the same as for the other side as pictured.

Step 3: Add rhinestone beads and finish the earring

1st, stick a 18x13mm rhinestone drop bead to the bottom of the bead ornaments, and then tailor the shape out;
2nd, cut a 10mm round felt paper, then thread the cotton thread through to connect it with the bead drop;
3rd, trim off the thread and stick an ear earring stud base on the felt paper;
4th, stick a 10mm brown rhinestone bead to the stud base and finish the earring;
5th, repeat the whole process to make the other earring to make a pair.
