Today's DIY Project is on making a New Year glass beaded star headband for kids. Well, before get started, you will need to prepare glass beads, and the colors are up to you! Then if you have bare or old headband at home, take it! Let's turn an old bare headband to a lovely star headband now!

Supplies in making the cute New Year glass bead star headband for kids:

6MM Red Faceted Glass Beads
6MM Blue Faceted Glass Beads
6MM Transparent Faceted Glass Beads
Iron Headpin
Bare Headband
0.3mm Copper Wire
0.5mm Copper Wire
Scissors
Round Nose Plier
Side Cutting Plier

Instructions on making the cute New Year glass bead star headband for kids:

Step 1: Wrap glass beads to headband

1st, snip off a long piece of 0.3mm copper wire, and then thread it through a 6mm red faceted glass bead and wrap it to the headband as pictured;
2nd, thread a transparent faceted glass bead through the copper wire this time; then wrap and tie to the headband;
3rd, thread a blue glass bead through the wire and tie to the headband;
4th, thread beads in this sequence and wrap the wires with glass beads to cover the headband.

Step 2: Add glass beaded star ornaments

1st, prepare 9 iron headpins, then thread 3 headpins through 8 blue glass beads, 3 headpins through 8 red glass beads and 3 headpins through 8 red glass beads respectively;
2nd, twist a little loop at each end of the headpins with a plier;
3rd, cut a piece of 0.5mm copper wire, place the glass beads strands to make a star, then fix the center with copper wire;
4th, slide 4 transparent glass beads to the copper wire, then wrap and tie it to the proper position of the headband.

5th, repeat the above steps and add 2 more star ornaments on the headband as shown in the picture.

I don't know but I wouldn't let my baby girl wear these yet for she is just 6 months old so I'd rather let her wear those cute little head bands that I got her from https://hairclippy.com/baby-headbands.
