How to Make a Purple Wire Wrapped Headpiece with Rhinestone Drop

Wire wrapping skills are widely adopted in jewelry making, especially in bracelet and earrings making. Today I will bring a purple wire wrapped headpiece for wedding to you! I add some white pearl beads and black glass beads to embellish and a rhinestone drop to enhance its charms. Let's start this DIY wire wrapped headband now.

Supplies in making the purple wire wrapped headpiece with rhinestone drop:

1.5mm Purple Aluminum Wire
8mmx13mm Rhinestone Drop Beads
6mm White Rhinestone Flat Beads
10mm Purple Rhinestone Flat Beads
8mm White Pearl Beads
6mm White Pearl Beads
8mm Black Jade Glass Beads
10mm Purple Organza Ribbon
Brass Ring Base
0.3mm Copper Wires
Round Nose Plier
Long Nose Plier

Instructions on making the purple wire wrapped headpiece with rhinestone drop:

Step 1: Twist a basic shape

1st, cut 5 pieces of purple aluminum wires, 2 about 20cm, 2 about 25cm and one wire about 30cm;
2nd, twist the aluminum wires into snail hoops as shown in the pictures;
3rd, tie 2 purple aluminum wires with 0.3mm copper wires and tighten;



4th, tie another 2 pieces of purple wires with copper wire and tighten;
5th, tie the rest part of the purple wires to form a headband.

Step 2: Add black and white beads ornaments

1st, snip off a piece of copper wire, tie it to the purple headband (a proper position as you like) and then thread a 6mm white pearl, a 8mm white pearl, a 8mm black glass bead and a 6mm white pearl through it, then tie to the hoop as pictured;
2nd, snip off another piece of copper wire, then tie it to the headband, and thread beads again through the wire, and tie to the headband ( the match of the beads is up to you);
3rd, continue and add more beads ornaments to the headpiece.

Step 3: Tie purple organza ribbon to the headband's ends

1st, twist small hoops on each end of the purple aluminum wire and fix them with copper wires;
2nd, tie a piece of 20cm purple organza ribbon to the each end of the wire wrapped headband.

Step 4: Make the rhinestone drop

1st, stick a 10mm purple rhinestone bead to the center of a ring base;
2nd, stick a 10x8mm rhinestone drop bead to each corner of ring base;
3rd, add 8mm round rhinestone beads to the rest space of the ring base as shown.

Step 5: Finish the purple wire wrapped headpiece with rhinestone drop

Cut a small piece of copper wire, thread the wire through the hole of the ring base, and then wrap and tie the drop to the pearl strand.
