Pandahall’s Tutorial on How to Make Christmas Quilling Paper Snowflakes

Quilling papers are popular and widely used in making cute crafts, and I have made many quilling paper ornaments before. Today, I will show you how to make Christmas snowflakes step by step. To make the quilling paper snowflakes, you do not need professional skills, but some basic materials and tools. Now, let’s see how to make these Christmas snowflakes.

Supplies in DIY the Christmas quilling paper snowflakes:

5MM Quilling Paper (Red, Dark Green, Yellow)
Rolling Pen
14MM Rhinestone
1MM Nylon Thread
Scissor
White Glue
Tweezer
Model
Glue Gun

 

Step 1: Make 5 quilling paper petals

1st, cut 6 pieces of 5mm dark green quilling papers, roll them and put them into the 15cm hole as shown to make them as circular beads;
2nd, hold the middle part and outer part with a tweezer, then glue the coincident parts firmly, and press the outer layers to make it as a petal;
3rd, repeat the 2nd step to make other 5 petals.

 

Step 2: Make more quilling paper petals

1st, cut 6 pieces of red quilling papers, roll them and put them into the 20cm hole as pictured, then repeat the same steps to make them as petals;
2nd, cut 6 pieces of yellow quilling papers, roll them into 15cm beads, and make all the beads to petals;
3rd, stick the 6 dark glue petals together as a flower, and also stick the red petals to a flower as shown.

 

Step 3: Add other patterns

1st, cut 12 short pieces of yellow quilling papers, roll one end of them a little and stick every 2 quilling papers with a red petal as shown;
2nd, stick every yellow quilling paper petals on top of the red petals as pictured;
3rd, stick the dark green flowers with the red flowers as pictured.

 

4th, stick an 14mm rhinestone on center of the green flower, and tie one 1mm nylon thread with one yellow petal.
