How to Make a Pair of Red and Green Star Quilled Paper Earrings

Quilled papers are good materials to make Christmas cards, greeting cards, paper flowers and other handmade gifts. Today, we'll use red quilled papers and green quilled papers to make a pair of quilled paper earrings. Follow me to see how to make this pair of quilled paper earrings.

6mm Yellow Dome Pearl Cabochons
380x5mm Green Quilling Paper
380x5mm Red Quilling Paper
Gunmetal Jump Rings
Golden Earring Hooks
Rolling Pen
Needle Nose Plier
Tweezers
Dividing Rule
White Glue

Instructions on how to make the red and green star quilled paper earrings:

Step 1: Make star quilled paper flower

1st, cut a piece of red quilled paper and a piece of green quilled paper (with a length about 4cm). Then, cut another piece of red quilled paper and a piece of green quilled paper (with a length about 5cm);
2nd, combine the two ends of the green quilled paper together using glue. Then, fold the green quilled paper into a leaf shape. Refer to this step to make a red leaf;
3rd, refer to the 2nd step to make a small red leaf and green leaf;
4th, put the small red leaf into the large green leaf and glue the contacting part together. Then, put the small green leaf into the large red leaf and glue the contacting part together (as shown in the picture);

5th, cut another piece of green quilled paper with a length about 3cm. Then ,use the rolling pen to roll part of one end into a circle;
6th, refer to the 5th step to make another such pattern. Then, glue the two patterns together;
7th, put the rolled patterns into the green-red leaf and glue the contacting parts together;
8th, refer to the above steps to make four more such patterns;

9th, refer to the 5th step to make a red rolled pattern and a green rolled pattern. Then, glue them on the two sides of one leaf. Repeat this step four times;
10th, combine the five petals together.

Step 2: Add pearl bead and earring hook

1st, use white glue to attach a 6mm yellow dome pearl cabochon onto the middle of the quilling paper flower;
2nd, add a golden earring hook on top of the quilling paper flower through two golden jump rings;

3rd, repeat the above steps to make the other pair of the star quilled paper earrings.
