Quilling Paper Craft Tutorial – How to Make Christmas Hanging Ornament

Instructions on making the quilling paper hanging ornament:

Step 1: Make the main part of the ornament

1st, cut several pieces of 5mm yellow quilling papers, and roll them into a hoop measuring with a round cover (about 10cm) as shown;
2nd, cut enough pieces of 5mm red quilling paper, and then roll them into small circles respectively;
3rd, stick each unit to fill up the hoop ornament one by one.

Step 2: Add 4 leaves to the ornament

1st, Cut 4 pieces of 5mm green quilling papers, and roll it and put it into the hole to adjust its size as pictured;
2nd, stick the tail of the quilling paper, and press the roll and shape it into a leaf;
3rd, repeat above procedure and make the rest 3 leaves.

Step 3: Stick the leaves to the hanging ornament

1st, stick the leaves to the hanging ornament as shown;
2nd, cut another small piece of yellow quilling paper, and roll it into a bead;
3rd, stick all of them on the top of the hanging ornament.

Step 4: Make a yellow quilling paper flower

1st, cut another piece of yellow quilling paper (about 10cm) and then roll it into 8mm bead;
2nd, stick the tail of the quilling paper and press the 2 ends of the yellow quilling paper bead to shape it as shown;
3rd, repeat above process to make the other petals and roll another yellow bead to make it the bud;
4th, stick the parts together and finish the quilling paper flower.

Step 5: Finish the hanging ornament

1st, stick the yellow flower to the hanging ornament in a proper position as you like;
2nd, cut a piece of 5mm red ribbon, and thread it through the hole of the ornament and finish it.
