How to Make Hanging Decorations for Your Room with Chenille Stems

Instead of buying home decorations from stores, I prefer making on my own at home. Home hanging decorations are usually easy to make with simple supplies. The most important is that it is cost-efficient! Today I used chenille stems, aluminum wires, copper wires, and gold chain to make this home hanging decoration with chenille stem!

Supplies in the home hanging decor DIY:

Colorful Chenille Stems
2mm Black Aluminum Wire
0.5mm Copper Wire
Jump Rings
Blue Organza Ribbon
Gold Chains
Scissors
Side Cutting Plier

Instructions in making the home hanging decoration with chenille stems:

Step 1: Twist Aluminum Wire Circle

1st, snip off a black aluminum wire, fold it into 2 halves and braid them;
2nd, twist a torus and trim off the excess.

Step 2: Add chenille stem decorations

1st, snip off enough short colorful chenille stems, and coil each one by one, do remember to leave a tail of chenille stem at each end;
2nd, tie the colorful ball decorations to the black circle as shown in the picture;



3rd, cut 5 pieces of organza ribbons, and tie one end to the colorful chenille balls while the other end to the balls on the circle respectively. Pay attention to the color matching;
4th, snip off 3 long enough copper wires, and fold several times to ensure it tightened, and tie them to the torus as the picture shows.

Step 3: Finish the colorful chenille stems hanging decor

1st, prepare 5 pieces of gold chains of equal length and enough jump rings;
2nd, attach one end to the aluminum torus with the jump ring one by one;
3rd, collect all the other ends with another jump ring;



4th, snip off a short black aluminum wire and twist a "S" shape as shown in the picture;
5th, hook the jump ring up to the S hanger and finish the whole DIY project.

This is the final look of the chenille stem hanging decoration.
