Tutorial on Making a Unique Butterfly Bow Hair Clip with Ribbons and Beads

Materials and tools needed in DIY the butterfly bow hair clip：

4mm White Pearl Beads
6mm White Pearl Beads
Rhinestone Drop Beads
2mm Seed Beads
Grey Grosgrain Ribbons
Dot Satin Ribbons
Iron Hair Clip
Steel Beading Needles
White Sewing Thread
Glue Gun
Stainless-Steel Scissor

 

Instructions on how to make the butterfly bow hair clip：

Step 1: Make butterfly knot and seed bead strands

1st, cut a piece of grey grosgrain ribbon and make a butterfly knot. Then, make a butterfly knot and fix the linking parts with steel beading needle and white sewing thread (as shown in the picture);
2nd, cut a piece of white sewing thread and thread several brown seed beads through the thread. Then, make a knot on the ends to combine the two ends together;
3rd, repeat the above step to make an orange seed bead strand (smaller than the brown seed bead strand).

 

Step 2: Add dot satin ribbon

1st, cut two pieces of dot satin ribbons and make a loop by folding it into half;
2nd, use glue gun to attach the two dot satin ribbons onto the left part of butterfly knot one by one.

 

Step 3: Add beads, butterfly knot and white lace trim

1st, twist the brown seed bead strand (as shown in the picture) and wrap the middle part of the butterfly knot with the twisted seed bead strand;
2nd, attach a rhinestone drop bead onto the upper layer dot satin ribbon and a 6mm white pearl bead and 4mm white pearl bead onto the right grey grosgrain ribbon (as shown in the picture) with glue gun;
3rd, cut another piece of dot satin ribbon and make a butterfly knot. Then, twist the orange seed bead strand and wrap the butterfly knot with orange seed bead strand and attach it onto the top;
4th, cut a piece of white lace trim and fold it into half. The, glue the two ends together and add it below the butterfly knot added just now;
5th, attach two 4mm white pearl beads onto the white lace trim and a 4mm white pearl bead onto the grey grosgrain ribbon (as shown in the picture);

 

6th, use the glue gun to combine the butterfly knot with a silver hair clip.
