Kids Craft on How to Make a Sunflower Rubber Band Ring with Loom

In making this sunflower rubber band ring, I use 5 green bands for ring, 12 yellow bands for flower heart, and 12 orange bands for petal. Now, let’s begin!

Materials needed in looming sunflower rubber bands rings:

Orange Rubber Bands
Yellow Rubber Bands
Green Rubber Bands
S-Clip
Rubber Band Loom Hook
Rainbow Loom

Instructions for making sunflower rubber band rings with loom:

1st, place a green rubber band from first pillar to the two of middle, then continue to put another two green bands in arrange to the middle pillars, than take a yellow rubber band from center to the left side, another yellow band goes up, do the same to the right side;

2nd, rotate the rainbow loom clockwise, place a green rubber band in symmetric place, that’s the 6th and 7th pillars in the middle, continue to add another green one, than take another two yellow bands to the pillars to form a yellow regular hexagon as picture shows;

3rd, place a yellow band from center to the outside pillar, then add another five yellow bands clockwise;

4th, take a yellow bands and wrap 2 times, take it onto the middle pillar of hexagon, then make a green band in the same method, remember take it onto the end of green bands at right;

5th, stretch an orange rubber bands to the adjacent pillars of the outside hexagon, then continue to place five orange bands clockwise;

6th, use a hook to pull bottom left green band up to the next pillar in the middle, do another green band in the same way;

7th, now begin to do the petals, place an orange rubber bands onto the pillar as picture show, and hook the yellow bands up to the center pillar, then place another five orange bands onto the rest pillars of hexagon;

8th, hook the center yellow band to thread all bands and bring it up to the top of outside hexagon pillar to make a teardrop shape, continue to do another four in the same method, now you will see the drop bands stretch the center yellow bands, and then pull the upside orange bands to the center pillar;

9th, hook all the inside orange bands to the center pillar anticlockwise;

10th, start to make the flower heart, pull the outside orange band to the center pillar, then hook the orange band to thread the yellow band and bring it up to the center pillar, repeat it until all outside orange band onto the center pillar as picture shows;

11th, hook the yellow band to thread all bands onto the left adjacent pillar as picture shows, then do the same as the right one;

12th, continue to hook the rest yellow bands in the same method, remember the direction;

13th, hook the rest green rubber bands in the same way, then you will get it like following picture;

14th, remove all bands out of pillars, use an s-clip to attach both ends of green bands, and one orange bands like pictures show.
