How to Make a Pear-Like Wire Wrapped Pendant with Wire Coiling Gizmo Technique
Summary: How to make a green wire wrapped pendant with wire coiling gizmo techniques? here is the full tutorial with clear photos.
I am going to make a pear-looking wire wrapped pendant. I chose dark green wire, bright green bead and light green ribbon, because I intend to make the whole pendant quite similar to the real fruit.
Necessities for the green pear wire wrapped pendant:
1.5mm green aluminum wire
0.5mm green copper wire
16mm green acrylic bead
Green satin ribbon
Flat nose plier
Wire cutter plier
Side cutting plier
How to make a wire wrapped pendant with coiling gizmo technique:
Step 1: Wire wrap oval frame
1st, cut a 35cm length of green aluminum wire and loop the center with round nose;
2nd, straighten the two wire ends;
3rd, slide green bead onto wire;
4th, wrap wire ends upwardly to form an oval pattern;
5th, wrap one end around the other end;
6th, cut off the excess wrapping end;
7th, loop the other end and cut off excess length.
Step 2: Do wire coiling to finish the pendant
1st, cut a long piece of green copper wire;
2nd, leave a short tail and coil the wire around inner loop 5 times;
3rd, coil the short tail around outer frame 7 times and cut off excess tail;
4th, lead the long tail toward outer frame and coil around it 7 times;
5th, back the wire toward inner loop, coil once;
6th, repeat 4th and 5th until the whole frame is done.
Step 3: Add ribbon to finish the necklace
1st, make a large jump ring with green aluminum wire;
2nd, attach it onto pear-like pendant;
3rd, cut a piece of green ribbon, and the length depends on your neck size;
4th, thread it through your pendant;
5th, knot at the end of ribbon.
The final look of the green wire wrapped pendant:
Now I have finished the wire wrapped pennant tutorial. You see, against the background of photographing, the wire wrapped pendant looks quite tempting. Do you want to take a bite of the “fresh fruit”?
