DIY Birds Nest Necklace – Making Jewelry with Wire and Pearl Beads for Easter

Supplies in making a birds nest necklace

0.8mm brass wire
Imitation pearl Acrylic beads
2mm iron chain
Jump rings
Lobster claw clasp
Round nose plier

 

Instructions on how to make a bird nest necklace:

Step 1: Thread pearl beads onto wire

1st, drag one end of the wire out of spool and bead 3 beads on;
2nd, back the end through the first bead, shaping it a triangle look;
3rd, wrap the rest wire around “triangle” as many times as you desire.

 

Step 2: Shape and secure the nest

1st, wrap wire around the space between each 2 beads; so the piece is more like a bird nest;
2nd, tangle the rest wire with previous wrapped ones and make a loop at the back;
3rd, cut off excess brass wire and tuck the end.

 

Step 3: End the bird nest necklace

1st, snip a proper length of iron chain and attach nest onto its center by jump ring;
2nd, add clasp onto ends of chain.
