Make an Easy Friendship Bracelet with Chinese Snake Knot Technique

Today my inspiration project backs to “long time no see” friendship bracelet. Depending on my plan to create a Chinese-style and minority-characteristic bracelet, I integrate wood beads and snake knots together. Later please read the details of my Chinese snake knot bracelet.

Necessities for this Chinese knot friendship bracelet:

2mm red nylon thread
Colorful cube wood beads
Black shank button
Lighter
Scissors

Instructions on how to make the Chinese style friendship bracelet:

Step 1: Do Chinese snake knots

1st, cut a 1.5m length of red nylon thread and fold it in half;
2nd, leave a 2cm loop at the fold and tie a double connection knot with both ends;
3rd, do a first Chinese snake knot;
4th, pull the lower loop and make a second knot;
5th, repeat knotting process.

Step 2: Braid the bracelet with beads

1st, when finishing 8 such knots, slide a wood bead onto both ends;
2nd, braid 3 Chinese snake knots and slide a new bead;
3rd, repeat such process until you get a desired length.

Step 3: Finish the button end

1st, braid the last part of the friendship bracelet and slide a button onto both ends;
2nd, tie a sailor knot with both ends;
3rd, trim off excess threads and melt the ends.
