Instructions on Making a Long Chain and Ribbon Necklace at Home

How to start the long chain necklace project?

Step 1: fold the starting 2cm ribbon part in three times. Then, sew one edge with needle and thread.

Step 2: string the first chain link and fasten by sewing 4~6times. Keep 30cm and break the chain with pliers.


Then, bring the needle to the adjacent 5mm location and sew on the second chain strand. Make the chain a bit longer than the previous one. Similarly, add the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th chain strands in sequences.

Step 3: string the first links on each chain strand with needle, out the needle on the front side, and then pass back to the back side at the other edge. Repeat the processes 3~5 times for secure.

Step 4: knot the thread and remove the excess.

Step 5: measure the ribbon around neck and decide the length you want. Keep it 2cm longer than the figure and then cut off the excess.

Step 6: fold the reserved 2cm part and then sew on the other end of chains in the same way.
