Making a Multi Strand Stretch Bracelet with Multi-Colored Ribbons
Summary: This tutorial will show you how to make a multi-strand bracelet with colorful braided ribbons and black elastic cord.
A hoard of organza ribbons has been laid up in corrugated box for many days. I didn’t know what to do with these colorful ribbons before; but now I have got an idea of braiding them and making a multi-strand fun bracelet
Necessities for multi-strand braided ribbon bracelet:
How to make a multi strand braided ribbon bracelet:
Step 1: Make stretch closure
1st, cut a 30cm length of elastic cord and wrap a loop at left side;
2nd, wrap a loop at right side;
3rd, use left tail to make left sliding knot and the end come out from left;
4th, use right tail to make right sliding knot and the end come out from right.
Step 2: Braid multi-strand ribbons
1st, cut 3 pieces of 30cm yellow ribbon;
2nd, hot glue one end onto left loop ( in step 1);
3rd, make triple braiding the length of which is your wrist circumference minus stretch closure;
4th, hot glue the other end onto right loop;
5th, cut off excess ribbons and melt ends with lighter;
6th, in the same way braid other colored ribbons;
7th, trim off excess elastic cords and melt ends with lighter.
Finally the multi-strand ribbon bracelet looks like:
Tada! The multi-strand bracelet is done. In this tutorial, you need to decide an appropriate size for the stretch closure, because it is unchangeable and the longer the closure is, the shorter the braided ribbons are.
