Summary: This tutorial will teach you how to make a sparkling beaded fringe necklace with simple wire coiling technique.
What might spice up your favorite outfits? My answer is “a glass beaded fringe necklace”! Lively glass beads and sedate black chains which are well combined in the tutorial will bring you a new brand look of fringe necklace.
Necessities for red and blue beaded fringe necklace:
6mm red abacus glass beads
6mm blue abacus glass beads
1.5mm golden aluminum wire
0.5mm golden copper wire
Golden head pins
Black jump rings
Lobster claw
Black cross chain
Round nose plier
Flat nose plier
Wire cutter
Steps for this fringe necklace tutorial:
Step 1: Prepare beaded chains
1st, cut 25 pieces of black cross chain and each measures about 19-link long;
2nd, slide an abacus bead onto golden head pin and wrap it around round nose;
3rd, slide 1 piece of chain onto the open loop;
4th, make a simple wire wrapped loop with round nose;
5th, in this way prepare 13 red beaded chains and 12 blue beaded chains.
Step 2: Finish fringe by coiling wire
1st, cut a 1.5m length of golden copper wire and coil it around a 25cm length of aluminum wire;
2nd, do 3cm length of coiling and loop this end with round nose;
3rd, slide a red beaded chain onto copper wire and make a slightly loose coil;
4th, then coil 5 times;
5th, add a blue beaded chain and repeat above process;
6th, keep coiling with the alternate beaded chains;
7th, after 25 chains are done, do another 3cm length of coiling;
8th, cut off excess aluminum wire and copper wire;
9th, loop the end with round nose plier.
Step 3: Add hanging chain and clasp
1st, slowly shape the coiled aluminum wire into a symmetrical chevron pattern;
2nd, cut two 30cm length of black chains;
3rd, thread chains through both loops;
4th, attach lobster claw and jump rings to both end links.
