How to start the draped pendant necklace?

Step 1: Make the pendant by using right angle weave stitch

1st, cut a length of tiger tail wire to approximately 100cm;
2nd, slide one 6mm bicone bead to the center;
3rd, add one 6mm bicone bead per wire and then cross two wires through another 6mm bicone bead;
4th, repeat the process for making 5 bead loops. Pay attention that in the last loop, add both 6mm bicone bead on left wire to exit the wire at the bead on right side;

5th, make the 2nd row of beaded loops;

add the second row
6th, make the 3rd, 4th and 5th rows in same way. Finally, weave the excess wire backwards through adjacent bead loops to get it stuck.

Step 2: Add the pendant onto string

1st, cut 6 lengths of metallic cord for your pendant, about 40cm for each;
2nd, tie an overhand knot to hold them together. Clamp the knot with one cord end;

prepare the string
3rd, take a short piece of tiger tail wire to help thread the strings through the 6 lines of glass beads respectively.

Step 3: Adjust the position of the pendant

1st, pin the exited cord end on a model;
2nd, slide the pendant to get a best position for it;
3rd, decide the length of each cord on the other side;
4th, hold the wire by another overhand knot. Clamp with another cord end as you did in 2nd process.

Using such basic version of right-angle weave stitch pattern in necklace, you can get a super excellent accessory for the special evening dress. However, some details of the draped necklace, such as the lack of a suitable chain, still make this project a bit imperfect and regretful.
