How to decorate the hair comb with rose flowers?
Step 1: Make the rose by tying Josephine knots
1st, cut a length of 2mm nylon thread to approximately 35cm. then, tie a Josephine knot about 2~3cm from one cord end;
2nd, tighten the knot slightly;
3rd, regard the longer tail as working end and weave it through the knot according to its pattern. That is a medium-sized petal;
4th, turn the knot over. Keep 1~2cm at longer cord and then trim off the excess. Connect the two ends by melting with lighter;
5th, repeat the 3rd process once more and you'll get a triple Josephine knot as the large-sized petal. Deal the two ends as same as did in 4th process;
6th, finally, make a basic Josephine knot.
Step 2: Start to decorate the hair comb with knot roses
1st, for one medium hair comb, you will need 3 roses totally. That means you need to make 3 small-sized petals, 2 medium-sized ones and 1 large-sized one;
2nd, take a piece of brass wire to approximately 100cm. pass it through the 4th tooth on comb, pull two ends equally and twist 3~5 times;
3rd, string the one bead cap, one medium-sized petal, one small-sized petal and one 8mm pearl bead as picture show;
4th, thread the wire back through the knot pieces and bead cap;
5th, tighten the wire, then wrap the wire around the adjacent 7th teeth and anchor at the 11th tooth;
6th, string the following elements in sequence: one bead cap, one large-sized petal, one medium-sized petal, one small-sized petal and one 8mm pearl bead. Direct the wire back to pass through the knot elements and bead cap to finished the rose;
7th, repeat the 5th process to fourth tooth from bottom. Make another rose;
8th, wrap the excess wire around the bottom of last rose. Cut any excess wire if necessary.
