1mm red nylon thread
1mm dark red nylon thread
1mm light blue nylon thread
1mm blue nylon thread

4mm black leather cord

How to make the valentine necklace with strings:

Step 1: Prepare one end of necklace

1st, cut a 45cm length of leather cord, wrap a 2cm loop and hot glue the end;
2nd, cut a long piece of black thread and do coiling beneath the loop, starting from the overlapped part;
3rd, continue coiling black thread around leather cord 2cm long, glue last coil, leave a short tail and trim off excess thread;
4th, then do coiling with light blue thread 4cm long;
5th, pick a long piece of blue thread and do alternate coiling with light blue and blue thread;
6th, glue the last light blue coil and leave a short tail;
7th, pick a long piece of red thread and do red coiling 5cm long.

Step 2: coil strings and add beads

1st, slide bead onto red thread and black leather cord;
2nd, pick a long piece of darkred thread and do coiling 4cm long;
3rd, still slide a bead onto leather cord and darkred thread and do red coiling 3cm long;
4th, do light blue coiling with another piece of light blue thread;
5th, do red coiling, slide another bead on and do blue coiling with a new piece of blue thread and then continue to do red coiling;
6th, repeat blue and red coiling;
7th, then do alternate coiling with light blue and red threads.

Step 3: Finish the other end of necklace

1st, pick a long piece of black thread and do coiling adjoining to above red one;
2nd, then do long darkred coiling and short black coiling;
3rd, continue to do darkred coiling;
4th, slide the last bead onto leather cord, wrap a loop and hot glue the end;
5th, finish the darkred coiling;
6th, glue the last coil to leather cord and cut off excess thread.
