Use leftover brass wire in a pair of handmade wire earrings. If you like working with wire and want to make it more professional, just try making jewelry with the simple and handy coiling technique, just like this pair of coiled wire earrings by using common pliers and a marker pen.
Supplies needed in the coiled wire earrings:
0.8mm Cooper Wire
Ribbon Ends
Earring Hooks
Side Cutting Pliers
Round Nose Pliers
Wire Cutter Pliers
How to make the coiled wire jewelry?
Step 1: Prepare the brass wire. Cut one length of each color, about 15~20cm long.
Step 2: Align one end of the wires. Tape it and then clamp by a ribbon end as tight as you can.
Step 3: Coiling the wires against the marker pen.
Step 4: Remove the pen and attach the earring hook.
Step 5: Repeat the processes above to make the other piece earring.
Done!
Actually, the original version of this coiled wire earrings is a pair of earrings made of ribbons, yet the pattern fits here perfectly as well. Just one tips that while clamping the wires with ribbon end, you’ll need to firstly anchor them with tape or something else to protect any part from slipping off. Hope you’ll enjoy making the coiled jewelry.
