How to Make an Ethnic Ribbon Necklace from Recycled Materials

I often come up with novel ideas in mind, which are difficult to realize. Here, just takes this sweater necklace as example, it turned out after my first attempt, but, my original intention is to upcycle the idle wire spool into a home decoration. 24mm Satin Ribbon
10mm Satin Ribbon
6mm Satin Ribbon
1mm Nylon Thread
25mm Colorful Acrylic Bead
Handmade Lampwork European Bead
Acrylic Bow Bead
Old Wire Spool
Hot Melt Glue Gun
Scissors
Bead Reamer (optional)
Knife (optional)

How to start the ethnic ribbon necklace?

Step 1: Remove the center part of recycled wire spool.

Step 2: Wrap on the 24mm satin ribbon as basic layer. Seal the starting and ending with glue gun.

Step 3: Cover 1/7 part of the "ring" with 6mm red satin ribbon.

Step 4: Wrap the 6mm blue satin ribbon around adjacent 2/7 part on the "ring".

Step 5: Make a tassel with 1mm nylon thread. Cut 7~10 strands of each color, fold all in half against a string and then tie a sliding knot near top part. Finally, string the 24mm acrylic bead at top and tie up to the red ribbon area on the "ring".

Step 6: Pass the 10mm satin ribbon through the ring. String a lampwork bead as decoration.

Step 7: Glue the red bow bead in the center of "ring".

Done!
