Making Blue Wire Wrap Bracelet with Simple Coiling Techniques for Beginners
Summary: Today’s tutorial is prepared for beginners who want to make a personalized wire wrap bracelet and who intend to learn basic wire coiling techniques.
In this tutorial , I combine red painted glass beads with dark blue brass wire. Such kind of color match is not as exquisite as I expected. The subtle distinction arouses a cool temperament of this wire wrap bracelet.
Necessities for the blue wire wrap bracelet tutorial:
1.5mm blue aluminum wire
0.5mm blue brass wire
6mm red painted glass beads
Round nose plier
Flat nose plier
Wire cutter
Instrucitons on wire wrapping blue bracelet:
Step 1: Prepare beaded strand and wire coiling
1st, cut a 22cm length of aluminum wire;
2nd, do even coiling with brass wire;
3rd, till the coiling reaches 22cm, cut off excess brass wire and remove coiling from aluminum wire;
4th, cut a 30cm length of brass wire, and make a simple wire wrapped loop at one end;
5th, string 26 red beads onto the brass wire;
6th, make another wire wrapped loop at the other end and cut off excess wire.
Step 2: Twine the two strands together
1st, cut a 40cm length of brass wire and coil one end around the loop of above beaded strand;
2nd, string coling onto the brass wire and twine it around beaded strand;
3rd, coil other end of the brass wire around the other loop of beaded strand;
4th, cut off excess brass wire.
Step 3: Finish the bracelet clasp
1st, make an “8” link with the aluminum wire in step 1;
2nd, make an “S” shaped clasp with rest aluminum wire;
3rd, attach link and clasp onto wire wrapped bracelet.
