Free Pattern for Making a Beaded Snowflake Brooch in Red and Green

This snowflake brooch is not completely beaded, because the beaded tree patterns are sewed on the felt snowflake. Nevertheless it didn’t influence my decision on naming it beaded snowflake brooch. I love snowflake so much! There are two traditional elements - snowflake and tree - in this brooch, and I used green and red seed beads to make it more festive on Christmas.

Materials and tools for making a beaded snowflake brooch:

2mm Glass Round Seed Beads, Transparent, Red
3mm Glass Round Seed Beads, Transparent, Green
11mm Resin Button, Red
18mm Brass Brooch Finding, Round, Platinum (Not Shown)
Felt, White
Sewing Thread, Green
Needle
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun (Not Shown)

How to make a beaded snowflake brooch with felt?

Step 1: make a beaded snowflake

1st, trace a template of snowflake on a round white felt with a pencil as the picture shows. Or you can trace a snowflake pattern you like;
2nd, cut out two snowflake shapes from white felt according to the template;
3rd, take one snowflake shape, sew a simple tree shape with green seed beads using similar thread on each petal of the snowflake;
4th, intersperse a red seed bead at the top of each tree branch and secure with glue or red thread.

Step 2: add embellishments and brooch finding

1st, glue a red button at the center of the snowflake with covering the bottom of beaded trees;
2nd, cover the back of this snowflake shape with the other plain one and secure with glue. Glue a brooch finding at back.

Done!

Wearing a unique beaded snowflake brooch on Christmas must be cool! Don’t worry that you can’t wear it after Christmas; this pattern is also great for daily wearing.
