How to make a blue rose hair clip out of fabric?
Step 1: make a bud and first layer
1st, cut out a rectangle from the cloth and fold it in half. Roll the cloth starting from a corner to make a flower bud as the picture shows. Secure the bottom with thread;
2nd, cut out a four-petal flower from the cloth and each petal measuring 4cm or so;
3rd, place fabric flower with wrong side out and entwist the edge of each petal tightly from different angles;
4th, place the bud in the center of the fabric flower.
Step 2: add another two layers of the rose
1st, pinch the fabric flower with the bud;
2nd, rotate and adjust the petals to make a layered effect, then glue the bottom for securing. This is the first layer of the rose;
3rd, make another four-petal flower in the same way. Place it with right side up and roll the edge too. Use the same method to make the second layer;
4th, make the third layer with wrong side out.
Step 3: finish the rose
1st, the unfinished rose will look like the first picture below;
2nd, continue to make the last layer still with wrong side out;
3rd, glue the rose at the top of the hair clip.
Done!
I encourage you to have fun and try this blue rose hair clip. You will be amazed that an elaborate fabric rose is created by yourself for your hair!
