Wire wrapping patterns are very easy to catch jewelry craftsmen’s fancy. It is always great fun to apply your designs onto flexible wire materials. This idea was inspired by an item on etsy, and I take several hours to finish the wire wrapped necklace.

1.5mm golden aluminum wire
6mm pale blue satin ribbon
Blue acrylic bead
Golden head pin
Round nose plier
Flat nose plier
Wire cutter
Scissors

Instructions on how to make wire wrapped necklace:

Step 1: Wire wrap exquisite pattern

1st, pick a 50cm length of golden aluminum wire and wrap a large loop at one end with round nose plier;
2nd, continue to wrap a smaller loop at left side;
3rd, slightly curve the rest wire, leave 5cm and wrap wire around a thick marker; the left bottom loop is done;
4th, continue to wrap around a thin marker; the left middle loop is done;
5th, wrap the left top loop with round nose;
6th, wrap the center loop of the pendant;
7th, according to the left side, symmetrically wrap the right loops;
8th, thread the rest wire through right loops and center loop;
9th, wrap the last small loop with round nose plier and cut off excess wire.

Step 2: Finish the wire wrapped necklace

1st, pick a 15cm length of aluminum wire and wrap it around the thick marker;
2nd, cut out the loop;
3rd, loop both ends and shape it into a chunky U;
4th, pick a blue bead and make a dangle;
5th, attach bead dangle to the bottom of the pendant;
6th, fix the U shape to pendant as picture shows;
7th, cut a piece of ribbon, tie a lark heat knot over the top loop of the pendant.
