Blank Headband
Sewing Needle
Sewing Thread
Wide Satin Ribbon
A Piece of Purple Fabric
Recycled Pink Organza
White Felt
Hot Melt Glue Gun
How to start the handmade hair accessory for girls?
Step 1: Cover the blank headband with pure purple fabric
1st, cut a long fabric strip about twice the width of the headband;
2nd, heat the glue gun and start gluing the fabric on the back side of headband;
3rd, cut another piece of fabric, make it as wide as the narrowest location on the headband. Then, affix it on the backside to cover the uneven parts;
4th, trim the excess to make it more neatly and then seal with glue gun.
Step 2: Create the beaded felt decoration
1st, draw a circle with diameter of 4cm on the felt and then cut it out. Make three or more of it;
2nd, overlap the three felt parts and start to sew the 6mm pearl bead along the edge;
3rd, when complete the 1st beaded circle, string all the pearl beads once for secure;
4th, sew the 8mm pearl beads to create the 2nd circle;
5th, make the 3rd circle with 6mm pearls again and finally one 8mm pearl at the center. Knot the thread firmly.
Step 3: Make the ribbon bow accessory
1st, prepare a strip of wide stain ribbon and organza. Make the organza 3 times as wide as the stain ribbon;
2nd, wrap the stain ribbon with organza and stick with glue;
3rd, keep 1cm at one end and then double the ribbons;
4th, fold the remaining 1cm part downwards and seal with glue;
5th, pinch the center to make a bow shape and then fasten by gluing another short piece of stain ribbon.
Step 4: Adorn the headband with two decorations
