How to Make the Bracelet

Materials list:

--(15) 6mm cat’s eye beads in pink

--(15) 6mm cat’s eye beads in plum

--(2) 6mm cat’s eye beads in yellow

--(3) 6mm cat’s eye beads in blue

--12/0 seed beads in plum

--(4) jump rings

--A lobster claw clasp

--(2) bead tips

--A beading needle

--Beading thread, .1mm diameter

--Glue

--Scissors

--Two pairs of flat-nose or long-nose pliers

Instructions:

1. Measure & cut 48” of thread. Thread your needle. String on a seed bead. Tie a knot around the bead approximately 6 inches away from the end. A double knot would be best. Slide on a bead tip.

2. To make a beaded daisy: String on five seed beads. Bring them down to the bead tip. Slide the needle up through the first seed bead. Pull the string all the way through. String on two seed beads. Slide the needle down through the bottom right bead. Pull the string all the way through. You have made a beaded daisy!

3. Make two more beaded daisies using the seed beads. Now make a beaded daisy using the cat’s eye beads: String on a pink bead, plum, pink, plum, and a blue bead (five bead in all). Slide the needle up through the first bead (it’s a pink one). Pull the string all the way through. Now string on a plum bead and a pink bead. Slide the needle down through the bottom right bead. Pull the string all the way through. Repeat the following pattern to complete your beading: three seed bead beaded daisies, a cat’s eye beaded daisy with a yellow center, three seed bead beaded daisies, a cat’s eye beaded daisy with a blue center, three seed bead beaded daisies, a cat’s eye beaded daisy with a yellow center, three seed bead beaded daisies, a cat’s eye beaded daisy with a blue center, and finally three seed bead beaded daisies. My beaded work ended up being about 7-1/4” long.

4. Tighten your beaded work by gently pulling the beaded daisies towards the bead tip. To finish off the bracelet, string on a bead tip and a seed bead. Begin to tie a knot around the seed bead and then slide the needle through the knot. Pull the bead and knot down close to the bead tip. Then tie a couple more knots around the bead tip to secure it in place. Apply glue to the knots. Clamp the bead tips closed using pliers. Use a jump ring to attach the clasp to a bead tip. Attach a chain of three jump rings to the other bead tip.
