How to Make a Lovely Felt Clover Pendant Necklace with Bright Beads

When making a pendant necklace, it’s important to have a clear idea about what pendant you want to make. I’ve always had an idea to make a leaf pendant necklace, but there were so many kinds of leaves to choose from. It was really hard until I saw a clover necklace which was made of metal. I was thinking a felt clover pendant necklace would be personalized as well. Now this three-leaf clover necklace is coming!

What do you need for making a clover pendant necklace?

1mm Leather Cord, Black

How to make a felt clover pendant necklace with beads?

Step 1: sew two felt covers

1st, cut out a round piece from dark green felt measuring 6cm and the other one from green felt measuring 5cm. The felt will be cut into clover shapes, if you are not sure that you can cut the shapes precisely, you’d better cut the round felt larger;
2nd, cut out two clover shapes from two round pieces. In my eyes, a clover is just like three linked heart shapes;
3rd, sew the green clover on the dark green one along the edge of the green one;
4th, knot and cut excessive thread. Cut a thin strip from dark green felt and fold it in half. Glue the folded strip on the top of the clovers at back as a hanger.

Step 2: add beads and closure

1st, glue four bright beads with different sizes in the center of the green clover;
2nd, thread a leather cord with desired length through the felt hanger;
3rd, fold both ends of the leather cord downwards and wrap with black brass wires leaving two holes. Attach the lobster claw clasp to these two holes with two jump rings;
4th, cut out three heart shapes with appropriate size to glue at the backside of the dark green clover for covering the stitches.

According to folklore, four-leaf clovers are symbols of luckiness! If you have the desire to make a four-leaf clover necklace, you can change this pendant slightly. Three-leaf clover necklaces are only my personal preferences. You can also try the red beads shown in the materials picture instead of these beads for another look.
